Casting Call
The Writer Upstairs Tone Sizzle Character Breakdowns
Knowledge Tree Films, a Los Angeles-based production house/creative agency, is now accepting headshots and inquiries from interested actors in and around the Kansas City metropolitan area for casting in an upcoming MOS tone sizzle shoot for the book series, “The Writer Upstairs” by Matt Mallinson. The tone sizzle will be filmed over three days, tentatively March 15th-18th 2024, with final scheduling locked in after our casting call is complete.
The sizzle reel will be used extensively on social media platforms for promoting the book series, and any actors who we cast in this project will be added to a roster of talent we would be interested in having participate in future projects relating to The Writer Upstairs.

33 years old, on the short side, slim, tan, chestnut hair and piercing green eyes, soft spoken, has a license to kill.
Charles - TBD
35 years old, a bit stiff, around 5’10”, short messy hair, clean shaven, prone to social awkwardness, bad jokes- meticulous coffee brewer.
Bear - Cliff (or other options)
35 years old, looks like Jim James from My Morning Jacket, big, strong, all smiles, quiet and studious, an observer of humanity and nature.
Mrs. E - Kathy
70, short-ish, with regal bearing, a poker face, and manager of people/secret identities. Can pilot a chopper, sharp shoot, and make a lovely dinner all in the same day.
Danny - Jared Sisk
38, tall, weathered “movie star” good looks, half-brother to Lisa- someone who's seen it all, and you can see it on his face. The sort who anticipates another’s actions before they do anything.
Mr. J - TBD
75, tall, well built, Native American, flowing gray hair, piercing eyes that contain the hard-won joys and the tremendous sorrows of his life.
Mr. Parker - TBD
42, a scraggly oaf with a sour face, negligent grooming habits, and a preponderance for tacky flashiness, 1870s frontier style.

30, average height, thin, slight chin, more on the meek side but with an inner resolve of steel who inspires those around him with his carefulness and attention to detail.

25, tall for a woman in the 1870s, slight, but strong, very intuitive, speaks her mind and is unafraid of other people.
Banker - Spencer Jasper
45, soft for the frontier, bit of a dandy with grooming and dress, trustworthy and kind.

14, tall, skinny, bit of a prankster, loves the outdoors, taking on dares, and entering a rebellious teen phase of life.
